New Stuff Week 1

Eto yung mga bagong DVD na nakita ko sa Quiapo kahapon. Medyo magulo dun kahapon kasi kaka-raid lang ni Pareng Edu.. Malinaw na ang mga ito pero check pa rin for scratches. Subs are good too.

The Incredibles- Brad Bird Rocks!!! Before you go out and rush over to Quiapo, please be informed that kuha sa sine lang ang copy nito. Usually the DVD copy comes in mga 3 weeks to a month. So patience lang…

TaeGukGi- follow up ng Shiri. Groomed to be the next Best Foreign Picture sa Oscars (as if I care). It is the story of two brothers and their forced recruitment into the American-Korean war. An Excellent film. Parang Saving Private Ryan na Korean Version.

The Ghost aka. Dead Friend- I haven’t seen this one pero you can get a good DVD copy almost anywhere.

Three: Extremes
- I waited a long time for this to be out. This is an anthology (3in1) by directors Takashi Miike (Box), Fruit Chan (Dumplings) and my favorite Chan Wook Park (Cut).

Garden State- critically acclaimed comedy/drama by Zach Braff starring Natalie Portman. Promo Copy pa lang sa Quiapo so just wait for the DVD copies to come.

Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle- dalawang “junkies with the munchies” looking for a burger na mahirap hanapin. A quirky white comedy by Danny Lenier starring an Oriental and Indian. Apparently this movie daw is trying to break the mold of “typecasting” Asians as geeks and or nerds and uses them as drug addicts instead. Maganda daw eh, I haven’t seen it pero I will…eventually.

Mura lang, boss

Welcome to Boss DVD. Your guide to the wonderful world of movies, concerts and TV series released in the worldwide accepted format of DVD. This servers as a guide for you to know what's available what's not. What's hot and what sucks. Pirated DVDs can be tricky, copies are usually good but you occasionally get a dud, then you have to replace it--that is if they'll let you.
I usually frequent the DVD stalls of Quiapo and Makati Square and have developed the skills(I'm still learning, though) of bargaining and finding the perfect copy.

I'll be back with the titles soon.
